SHAPE America Research Council Newsletter

Spring 2023

Greetings!

The biggest news from this past quarter was the success of the , held in Seattle March 28 – April 1. The Research Council was proud to facilitate 186 research presentations, 34 posters at the Student Research Works-in-Progress session, the Graduate Student Forum, and two Coffee Talk sessions.

We also hosted three scholar lectures, inducted three new Research Fellows, and announced the recipient of the Research Council Distinguished Service award and the Thomas McKenzie Research Grant. These accomplishments were all celebrated at our inaugural Research Council Social, which was attended by more than 70 members of the SHAPE America research community — from graduate students to full professors!

Whether you attended the convention or not, we hope this newsletter and are useful resources for you to stay connected and get involved between now and the next national convention in Cleveland.
