This study from the September issue of Research Quarterly for Exercise and Sport (RQES) aimed to investigate how teachers’ socialization experiences influence their perceptions of and responses to bullying. The study suggests that while enrolled in a physical education teacher education program, preservice teachers should be provided greater knowledge about and strategies for addressing bullying. The report documents increases in the incidence of chronic diseases; growing concerns with children’s mental, emotional, and behavioral health; and significant disparities among population groups.
